İstanbul Modern Cinema, in collaboration with the French Embassy, focuses on the films of Olivier Assayas, the chameleonic auteur of French cinema. This selection of six films ranges from Les Destinées Sentimentales to the surrealist noir Demonlover, and from the French style “soaper” Summer Hours to the powerful character study Clean. Also shown is Carlos, the latest of the director’s crafty films, a masterpiece about the infamous and enigmatic terrorist.
