Returning to Malaysia for his father’s funeral after years of living in Taiwan, Ah Yao expects a quiet Taoist ceremony but finds himself in the middle of an unexpected conflict. When it emerges that his father secretly converted to Islam, religious authorities insist the body must be buried in a Muslim cemetery. As Ah Yao and his siblings try to reclaim the body to preserve family traditions, they are drawn into an increasingly absurd adventure laced with dark humour.
