The historic town of Sangerhausen in eastern Germany becomes an emotional map where the paths of four characters intersect. It all begins with Lotte, the maid of 18th-century poet Novalis: her dream of escaping poverty and monotony unexpectedly extends into the present day. Ursula, a heartbroken waitress from East Germany; Neda, an Iranian YouTuber with a broken arm; and Sung-Nam, a Korean tour guide—all find themselves invisibly linked by a blue stone. As it explores the alchemy of human connection in a time when society leans toward the right, the film masterfully weaves together humor and tender-hearted drama.
