The documentary “I Wrote the Truth – The Notebook of Lice” focuses on the village named Tektaş and the diary which has been kept by a peasant named Ahmet Tektaş (83) since 1945. Tektaş has turned his notebook into a historical document by recording all sorts of interesting events of everyday life together with historically important ones such as the killing of 4 peasants, the devastating earthquake in Lice in 1975 and its aftermath, the burning and evacuation of their village and the burning of Lice town center in 1993.
