Born on Christmas Day in 1960, Zachary grows up with three brothers, a music-loving authoritarian father, and a devoted mother. Set in 1970s Québec, Jean-Marc Vallée’s semi-autobiographical film stands out for its strong sense of period and use of music, and marks a turning point in the international visibility of Québec cinema.
