The workshop, led by artist Neriman Polat, addresses themes of personal and collective memory through the collage technique. Participants create a work centered around “tulle” as the main material, using their own photographs and various other materials.
This creative process, in which tulles are conceived as layers of memory, also encompasses social issues that have personally affected each participant. The workshop examines the impact of swift changes in our lives on individuals within the context of power and authority, aiming to foster a collaborative creation through each participant’s individual forms of narrative.

ECO ART LAB
Upcycling Meetings with Artists
In Istanbul Modern's new museum building, upcycling meetings with artists are organized as part of the Eco Art Lab education program sponsored by Damat Tween. In the upcycling meetings, which focus on topics such as sustainable future, continuity of life for all, and environmental change, together with artists and designers from different fields, participants explore the methods and possibilities of transforming end-of-life items into artistic materials or design products.
