Expanding Audience Engagement and Dialogue in Contemporary Art between Germany and Türkiye

Museum professionals and cultural and arts institution directors from Germany and Türkiye are gathering in Istanbul. Organized in collaboration with the Germany-based Agency for International Museum Cooperation, the program will take place from November 17 to 21, 2025, hosted by Istanbul Modern.

Entitled “Expanding Audience Engagement and Dialogue in Contemporary Art between Germany and Türkiye,” the program aims to create a platform that will inspire new approaches to art-led transformation, dialogue, and audience participation. Developing professional networks between institutions, identifying common needs, and highlighting financing opportunities made possible through international cooperation are also among the program's objectives.

With the support of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Istanbul, participants visit cultural and art institutions in Istanbul as well as the venues of the 18th Istanbul Biennial, gaining an opportunity to closely explore the contemporary art ecosystem in different cities across Türkiye.
