Asuman is a former singer who made a name for herself in the 80s, far-famed for her beauty. After having married Nejdet she begins to lead a modest life in the neighborhood of Balat and after a while discovers her husband’s alcohol and gambling propensities. Over the years she begins to turn a blind eye on her husband’s nightlife as well. Her daughter Ahu from her first marriage has left home and now lives in a hotel room with her boyfriend while dreaming of fame and fortune. Then suddenly Tophaneli Tayfur, who rents the flat above Asuman’s finds his way into the latter’s life. A character who longs for the old days and is lonely and in love, Tophaneli Tayfur is played by Uğur Yücel who comes together with Türkan Şoray to invite the viewer on a nostalgic journey. A must-see for those who miss Yeşilçam movies!
