THE STRANGER IN ME

The Stranger in Me, 2008
Director: Emily Atef, 99’, Colour, German, English subtitled

Rebecca and Julian are happily expecting their first child. However, Rebecca cannot hold the baby as soon as she is born. Her concern about failing in meeting the needs of the baby constantly increases and even results in being scared of the baby and even herself. The film discusses the question of whether motherhood is an instinct or a learned act.
