Director: Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz

This sincere portrait of the Polish director’s life and art begins from Kieślowski’s school days. With clips selected from his whole filmography ranging from his early documentaries to The Decalogue, the documentary also shows friends of the director such as Wim Wenders, Agniezska Holland, and Juliette Binoche reminiscing about their memories together. The documentary helps us better understand Kieślowski’s cinema, which strove to present human beings as they really are.
