During the Gezi Park happenings in Izmir, 38 people were arrested in the solidarity tents in the city’s Gündoğdu Square and in their homes, then put into prison. Four women among them underwent inhumane treatments, including naked strip search, in Şakran Prison. Formed of various women’s organisations, Izmir Women’s Platform organized the solidarity campaign “I Am Worried About My Friend” in order to raise awareness on what these women have lived through. The film is about the campaign with the testimony of women who were released and shares the power and hope of women’s solidarity…

While Faisal Abdullah tells the life of his brother until the moment he died in an unsolved assassination on 23rd August 2008, he also reveals a lesser known part of Iraq’s political history, the life of Iraqi socialists who were exiled by Saddam Hussein regime in the early 1980’s.
