Created through the collaborative effort of ten leading Latin American directors, and filmed under the creative direction of famous Mexican actor Gael García Bernal, The Empty Classroom is a film project that investigates why nearly one out of every two students never graduates high school. One of these shorts is Leguas by Lucrecia Martel, which focuses on the discrimination of American natives despite the promise of equal opportunities for all by the system of education.
