The program also includes screenings of short essay film Our Ark in the cinema auditorium on Thursdays, June 11 and 18. The film places the idea of creating “backups” against planetary collapse at the center of a techno-utopian vision. Based on a real project by the company Digital Life, the film focuses on the idea of creating a digital Noah’s Ark by producing three-dimensional copies of animals at risk of extinction. Starting from the notion of “backing up the planet,” the film raises questions about the fragile relationship between technology, nature, and imagined futures.
