Cast: François Cluzet, Omar Sy, Anne Le Ny, Audrey Fleurot, Clotilde Mollet

Having received a total of 9 nominations including “Best Film” and “Best Actor” (Omar Sy) in this year’s César Awards, Intouchables broke box office records of all times in France. Based on a real life story, the film follows rich aristocrat Philippe who is paralyzed after an accident. He hires Driss, a suburban juvenile newly released from jail, as a live-in carer. While everybody else think that Driss is not fit for the job, Philippe believes in him and offers him a chance. This funny, sentimental and humanistic film, touches social problems lightly, and criticizes class distinction as it follows the story of clash between these two opposite world-views almost impossible to come together in normal conditions and of its transformation into a wild friendship in due course.
