Director: Orhan Eskiköy
After becoming homeless, Hülya and Mustafa try to build a new life in a tent while doing their best to preserve their children’s routine. As the family’s youngest, İbo, spends more and more time on the streets, an invisible rupture begins to unfold, affecting both his school life and his dreams for the future. Clinging to the belief that the tent is temporary, the family continually plans to set up a new home; over time, even as they realize that this hope is slowly dissolving, they keep trying to maintain their daily routine. Home portrays, with a calm yet striking gaze, a family’s effort to hold on amid displacement and the shock created by the loss of a sense of “home.” The film received the Yılmaz Güney Award at the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.
