FANTASTIC FLOWERS, 1906-1920

FANTASTIC FLOWERS, 1906-1920

DCP, Color | 61’
Restoration: Eye Filmmuseum, Royal Film Archive of Belgium, Filmarchiv Austria

This compilation, structured around the theme of flowers, brings together the aesthetic and symbolic uses of flowers through parks, everyday life, and early trick films. Through close-ups and plays of light, nature becomes a visual experience independent of narrative. The vibrant colors achieved through Pathécolor and similar stencil techniques reveal the visual richness of early cinema.
Presentation: Elif Rongen Kaynakçı

Live music: Kornelia Binicewicz
