Adapted from the novel of the same name by Charles Bukowski, the film is a biographical drama about Bukowski’stransition from his youth to his early years as a writer. The film follows writer Henry Hank Chinaski drifting from one job, place, or woman to the next. The only thing that remains unchangedin Hank’s complex life is his passion for writing. Despite this passion, Hank is constantly rejected by the only publishing house to which he keeps sending his works. While presenting a poetic atmosphere, the film drags the viewer into the mire of chaos and creativity. In Factotum, we witness the story of a man determined to live life to the hilt.
