Cast: Oliver Masucci, Hary Prinz, Katja Rieman

Undoubtedly one of the most important and provocative directors of German cinema, Rainer Werner Fassbinder was 24 when he directed his first film in 1969. 13 years and 38 films later, he was found dead. With his radical and destructive stance, Fassbinder had a fast life, working on several projects simultaneously, mixing drugs and alcohol and not caring for social niceties or showing patience. This biopic traces Fassbinder's career from its beginning in Munich with his anti-theater trials. Traumatic characters such as Kurt Raab and Armin Maier, both lovers of the director and actors in his films, as well as Moroccan actor El Hedi Ben Salem, the lead in his film Fear Eats the Soul make appearances in the biopic. Actor Oliver Masucci singlehandedly holds the film together, as he successfully performs the difficult task of playing the role of Fassbinder.
