British actor Charlie Chaplin took his first steps in the movie world at Keystone Studios in the USA. Exactly 100 years ago, in 1914, he made 34 short films in which he would develop his future screen persona and cinematic craft. Not only did this process catapult him to stardom, it also gave him the opportunity to learn every stage of the movie trade. The festival presents two selections of shorts (their latest restored version) from this period, which witnessed the birth and development of one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century.
