Restoration: EYE Filmmuseum
Situated at the intersection of fashion, performance, and cinema, this selection foregrounds visuality through the moving body and garment. Short fashion films produced in France during the 1910s and 1920s functioned as a kind of “visual magazine,” screened before feature films. Restored by EYE Filmmuseum from nitrate prints, these works regain their original colors.
