A drama that follows Yusuf and his best friend Memo who are pupils in a boarding school in a remote snow-covered corner of Eastern Anatolia. Memo is stricken with a mysterious illness and needs to be taken to the hospital. While waiting for the roads blocked by snow to be cleared, the repressive school administration tries to work its way out of this situation but the secrets it had been keeping are revealed. Ferit Karahan’s second feature film sustains its mystery and tension to the end. Brother’s Keeper was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize (International Federation of Film Critics) in the Panorama section of the 71st Berlin International Film Festival.
