The film follows the fantastical and emotional journey of Defne, a woman raised in an orphanage, as she sets out in search of her mother’s ghost against the mystical backdrop of the ancient city of Side. The film won the Best Film Award in the “Asian Future” section of the Tokyo Film Festival, where it had its world premiere, as well as the SİYAD Best Film Award at the Istanbul Film Festival. Unfolding under the shadow of mythological figures through Defne’s dialogues with ghosts, the story questions the traumas of the past and the roles assigned to women in today’s world.
