Confused by this love-hate relationship Hubert drifts into the mysteries of adolescence. Canadian director Dolan has also produced and played the lead in this first film which he made when he was only 20 and which has autobiographical elements. With both straightforward storytelling and fine cinematography, I Killed My Mother made a hit following its screening at the Cannes Film Festival and received numerous awards at festivals around the world.
