New Acquisitions

Istanbul Museum of Modern Art aims to develop a broad collection of outstanding works encompassing all of the important periods of the history of modern art in Turkey. ”New Acquisitions" presented the museum’s first acquisitions reflecting this mission since its inauguration.

Comprising selected works of Fahri Kaptan, Tekezade Said, Şeref Akdik, Fahrelnisa Zeid, Zeki Faik İzer, Nurullah Berk, Ferruh Başağa, Cihat Burak, Nejad Melih Devrim, Nedim Günsür, Mübin Orhon, Şadan Bezeyiş, Adnan Çoker, Burhan Doğançay, Ömer Uluç and Muhsin Kut, the exhibition hinted at the attributes of the collection that continued to be enriched in the years ahead while sharing this historical moment with art lovers.
