Explore the “Floating Islands” exhibition virtually!

Following Istanbul Modern’s move to its new building, the museum’s ninth collection exhibition, “Floating Islands,” was presented to visitors in May 2023 as a comprehensive exhibition bringing together more than 280 works by 110 artists and 2 artist duos. The international thematic section in the temporary exhibition gallery concluded in April 2024 in line with the museum’s new exhibition programs.

"Floating Islands" continues in the permanent exhibition gallery with a chronological selection from the museum collection that traces the development and transformation of the art scene in Türkiye after 1945.
