Musicandle at Istanbul Modern

Istanbul Modern hosts a special concert on the museum’s viewing terrace in collaboration with Musicandle Concerts.

Taking place on June 17, “Musicandle at Istanbul Modern” brings together a classical music repertoire with the warm atmosphere of candlelight on Istanbul Modern’s terrace, overlooking the Historic Peninsula and the Bosphorus. As part of the event, visitors can explore Istanbul Modern and the exhibition “Semiha Berksoy: Aria of All Colors” free of charge before the concert.

The quartet, featuring Ayşe Birde, Aycan Küçüközkan, Özlem Sevil, and Funda Altun, performs works by Shostakovich, Brahms, Albéniz, Elgar, and Ravel, alongside selections from Turkish composers, tangos, and film music. The concert features guest artists Sertaç Çevikkol, Hüseyin Uçar, Senem Demircioğlu, and Irmak Tokgöz.
