Long Friday: Solo Jazz Dance Workshop

As part of Istanbul Modern’s “Long Friday” program on on Friday, March 13, the Hepcats Istanbul team will deliver a solo jazz dance workshop at the museum, in which participants will learn the starting movements of the dance, to be accompanied by jazz music and improvised freely.

Hepcats Istanbul is a dance studio that actively keeps swing dance culture alive and promotes it in Istanbul. Focusing primarily on Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz, it brings various swing dances to a wide audience through classes, social dance events, and stage performances. By offering group classes and private lessons, the team provides an open space for learning and sharing for participants of all levels. Centering the energy and social spirit of swing, Hepcats aims to build a vibrant dance community in the city.

The workshop is free for visitors who have reservations and museum tickets. 
The workshop is open to all visitors aged 8 and over.
Photography and video shooting permissions will be requested from the workshop participants. 
It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
