Count Us In! September 13–23, 2012

İstanbul Modern Cinema starts the new season with a program featuring examples from contemporary Turkish Cinema: ‘Count Us In!’ consists of films that have been talked about and raised interest both abroad and at home. The films in the selection have been awarded in many film festivals. They present the world of Turkish cinema with new characters and identity representations, new approaches to society and make room for “the other”, thus making “diversity” a motive of this program. Recently deceased director and producer Seyfi Teoman is the prominent name in this program of ten films from the last two years. He will be commemorated with the two films he directed and the film he produced Beyond the Hill which won the Golden Tulip award in the İstanbul Film Festival this year. Directors and actors will also be present in the film screenings.
