Istanbul Modern makes it to National Geographic’s “Best of the World” list!

After being named in January in the “Works of Wonder” list for 2024, curated by Architectural Digest, one of the world’s leading architecture and design magazines, Istanbul Modern has now made it to National Geographic’s “Best of the World” list.

Chosen as one of the “Top 20 Cultural Hot Spots” by the globally renowned editors of National Geographic, Istanbul Modern was acknowledged as a museum “worth a trip.”

Among other landmarks from the “Top 20 Cultural Hot Spots” are the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D.C., the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park in the Caribbean, the Chinggis Khaan Museum in Mongolia, and Battersea Park in London. Istanbul Modern’s new museum building, its viewing terrace, and elegant restaurant were praised in the article, along with the Fahrelnissa Zeid abstract paintings and video works in the museum.
