Following a woman who longs for warm family ties, Homesick premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Charlotte is the daughter of a distant mother and an alcoholic father, and Henrik has recently moved to Oslo with his family. Although they are half-siblings, they meet for the first time and fall in love despite all the obstacles. Their relationship is virtually like a rebellion against their mother for having deprived them of her love throughout their life. This unusual family drama which probes taboos about the family is notable for its strong performances.
