Known chiefly as a screenwriter, Maggie Peren in her second feature-length film tells the story of two immigrants, a tourist, and a policeman whose paths meet on the Canary Islands. Screened at the Toronto Film Festival last year, “Color of the Ocean” was characterized by critics as a mature film and was lauded especially for its cinematography.
