Having first earned acclaim with “Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken” and later worked predominantly for television, Achim von Borries’s new feature film “4 Days in May” is a drama focusing on the last days of World War II. The film, which premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, is about the friendship between an orphan and a Russian soldier occupying a children’s home in Northern Germany.
