It All Starts With A Seed! With Buğday Association

April 14, 2016

Thursday, April 14, 2016, 18.30-19.30

In the drawings and wax sculptures he produced in the 19th century, Francesco Garnier Valletti, one of the artists featured in the exhibition “TILL IT’S GONE”, recorded fruits that have disappeared from cultivation. Due to their short period of ripeness and to their variation in size, most of the varieties that the artist patiently reproduced are no longer grown. The event, carried out in collaboration with the Buğday Association, focuses on humankind’s relationship with seeds as highlighted in Valletti’s work.

"This event will be a reminder that the heirloom seed, which bears the ancient knowledge, constitutes a great heritage, a great responsibility and, also, our future."

Speaker: Hakan Gönül (Buğday Derneği)

The event is free of charge and will be held in Turkish.
