“Two Generations of the Rainbow” Documentary Screening, 17.30

Istanbul Modern presents a selection of works by Fahrelnissa Zeid, a pioneer of modern art and one of the first exponents of abstract art in Turkey, in its pop-up exhibition area.

In addition to paintings from Istanbul Modern’s extensive collection of Zeid’s works, the exhibition features a documentary produced for the exhibition “Two Generations of the Rainbow: Fahrelnissa Zeid and Nejad Melih Devrim”, curated by Haldun Dostoğlu and held at Istanbul Modern in 2006.

In the event following the documentary screening, Haldun Dostoğlu will speak about Zeid and Devrim’s artistic practice and the exhibition “Two Generations of the Rainbow” through his own experience.

The event is free of charge. The talk will be held in Turkish.
