Atölye Modern’s new seminar series, The World of Contemporary Art, focuses on understanding art in the 21st century, its production forms and methods, and the historical context. Led by Dr. Fırat Arapoğlu and Dr. Seda Yavuz, these seminars use artworks as examples to analyze concepts such as modern, contemporary, and post-modern, among others. It addresses the changing role of the artist, the impact of cultural industries on contemporary art, and the diversity of forms in artworks. The question “What is contemporary art?” is interpreted in these seminars through a variety of perspectives.
