One Artist, One Workshop: Printmaking

Led by museum educators, the workshop focuses on Aliye Berger’s artistic career and printmaking techniques.The children begin the program with a brief presentation introducing the artist and her productions. They examine the artist’s works featured in Istanbul Modern’s collection exhibition and follow her example. In the workshop, they try out printmaking techniques on linoleum, wood, and metal using ready-made matrices and create pictures using their own matrices which they make from EVA. Having explored Aliye Berger’s artistic point of view, the children take their artworks with them when leaving the workshop.
