Director Majid Majidi, who was nominated for Iran's first Oscar in history in 1998, is nominated once again with another film starring children. This time, Majidi follows a group of street kids who are working odd jobs at a garage, and their story of enrolling at a school as a means to find a hidden treasure. Adding an amazing energy to the story with their incredible performance, the 12-year-old Ali and his gang are actual child laborers in real life. Dedicated to the 152 million children in the world who must work to support their families, Sun Children is a realistic and touching drama.
