Future is Short

Future is Short February 21–28, 2022

Istanbul Modern Cinema celebrates the shortest month of the year with short films from Turkey. Free of market conditions, a short film is a format that allows more exploration, and one that can exist as an independent field of research. “Future is Short”, which will be screened online and free of charge, consists of two sections. The first section is a continuation of the “Count Us In!” program, and includes 18 short films that range from animations to documentaries and drama films produced in Turkey last year. The second section is a selection titled “Voicing Voices” consisting of 12 short films that were produced as part of the “BAK: Revealing the City through Memory” program co-implemented by Anadolu Kültür and Diyarbakır Arts Center. As part of the program, the film directors will also be meeting with the audience.

Each film will be available for viewing between the dates and times indicated in the program. During that period you can register to view the film.
