A true cinephile since childhood, Coşkun has grown up in an orphanage, and is in love with the famous actress Derya. Although he tries to create an original character in the screenplay he is writing for the actress, he can’t get over the two characters that made him fall in love with her, even to a point where he begins to imagine talking and living in the same house with these two characters. After a while, when he meets Derya in real life, he finally manages to create the character he had been after and the screenplay is turned into a movie. However, due to the conditions of the film industry the film fails to become what he had in mind. Türkan Şoray plays four different characters in My Dreams, My Love, and You, which offers a critique of the Yeşilçam era as well as the film industry.
