Walter Keane sells his wife Margaret’s original paintings of children with big eyes to wide audiences, while taking the credit as a sales strategy. Thanks to his persuasiveness and marketing talents, not only does Keane make a great fortune but the popularity of the paintings keeps rising. Meanwhile Margaret, who never gets to sign any of her paintings, tries to work up the courage to expose the fraud while struggling with the pressures from her husband. Big Eyes tells the true story of one of the biggest frauds of the 1960s and of the difficulties of being a woman in the art world of the period. The film won Amy Adams the Golden Globe for best actress.
