| Genç Modern brings together young audiences between ages 21 and 40 under the umbrella of Istanbul Modern where they will have the opportunity to meet young artists and be a part of Istanbul’s art community. Through year-round events, Genç Modern members can meet with artists, curators, collectors, and supporters of art. Genç Modern events include visits to galleries, studios, and private collections, conversations with artists, guided exhibition tours, sneak previews of films, excursions to international art institutions and events, members-only guided tours to fairs, biennials, and similar art events, and invitations to members-only events. At the same time, resources generated from membership fees are channeled to acquire works of young and emerging artists to be added to the museum’s main collection. Fikret Atay's video "Tinica", two works from Vahap Avşar's series "The Black Album", the video “I Can Sing” by Ferhat Özgür and the installation “Sunshine” by Vahit Tuna were acquired for the Istanbul Modern collection with Genç Modern Funds generated by the contributions of Genç Modern members.
