The art historian Dr. Roger Cook features in the catalogue of “TILL IT’S GONE” with a new essay titled “Good Air My Friend: Art for the Anthropocene”. His astute interpretations of the exhibition’s conceptual framework and featured artworks are enriched by references and quotes from prominent philosophers, scientists, authors and artists.

Building on his catalogue essay, Cook’s talk focuses on questions arising from the aesthetic response and responsibility of artists and viewers in relation to the ecosystem we live in.The talk will be followed by a conversation with Alper Aydın and Elmas Deniz, two artists from Turkey featuring in TILL IT’S GONE. Both of the artists were invited to produce new artworks for the exhibition that reflects their artistic approach regarding our planet and the notion of sustainability.
