Artist Hale Tenger and musician Serdar Ateşer will be at Istanbul Modern for a conversation on image, music, and sound, based on their collaborative work. Since the 1990s, the two artists have worked together on many acclaimed projects. They will present examples of the works they have produced together and discuss with cultural theorist Nermin Saybaşılıthe processes and outcomes of interactions between the visual and auditory arts.

The exhibition Plurivocality features the video installation “Balloons on the Sea”, which Hale Tenger created using various images together with sounds composed by Serdar Ateşer.Nermin Saybaşılı, who will moderate the conversation, contributed to the catalogue of the exhibition Plurivocality with an article on the politics of sound and image in Turkey.

The event is free of charge. The conversation will be held in Turkish.
